Mrs. Martins Fabulous Mayo

June 5, 1967

This is from an old recipe that comes from a Mrs. Martin. I have no idea who she is but my mom had this forever.


6 eggs beaten

½ cup vinegar

½ cup water

2/3 cup sugar

Chunk of butter (I don't know what the exact measurement is here??)

salt and pepper


Cook only until eggs are set, refrigerate. Great on tomatoes and as a salad dressing.

My mayo recipe from my hubby's grandma says "butter the size of an egg" which we've determined to be about 4 tablespoons.
